Education Alliance
A group of Parent's, teacher's and administrator's that work with children from the Brightmoor Community. Our goal is to work together to impact the quality of the education offered to our students. Our current projects include BCCAN and Safe Walking Paths Gompers 2011.
Brightmoor Career and College Access Network (BCCAN)
BCCAN is positioned to serve as the central hub for education access in Brightmoor where youth, parents, programs providers, and community inspire a college-going culture. Already, BCCAN has implemented several community-wide education initiatives. The continued focus of BCCAN is to coordinate educational programming particularly among post-secondary and career access networks. Through continued partnership efforts, especially with our education alliance, programs will reach more students. BCCAN aims to continue providing concrete experiences such as college visits, career days, college counseling, college nights, tutoring and mentoring programs and assisting in providing abstract experiences that shape a school, community center or other education institution's culture into a college and career planning culture.
